When the TD24 was introduced by International Harvester in 1947, it was the world’s largest crawler tractor. It was powered by a 180 hp engine.

This model is equipped with a cable controlles dozer blade as it was usual until the introduction of hydraulics. Furthermore, the model comes with a logging arch: A device that was common in North America that allows easier pulling of logs since the front of the log is lifted from the ground so the front end won't dig itself into the soil.
