| Description | At its introduction in 1975, the Poclain 1000CK replaced the EC-1000 of the same make as the world's largest hydraulic excavator. The 1000CK weighed in at 170 metric tons (375,000 lb) and featured bucket capacities between 5&thins;m³ (6.5 cuyd) and 10&thins;m³ (13 cuyd). It was powered by two Deutz diesel engines with a power output of 458 hp each. In 1978, the Poclain 1000CK had to pass the title of the largest excavator on to the Demag H241. |
