| Description | In 1992 Atlas presented a completely revised series of hydraulic excavators, where also the 1704 followed its predecessor. The new 1704 had an operating weight of roughly 24 t (53,000 lb) and at first was powered by an 146 hp aircooled Deutz diesel engine. Later, the engine was replaced by a watercooled Deutz diesel with 189 hp. |
