Description | The M90 was sold by Menck as an so-called “universal excavator”, meaning that it could be equipped with several different boom configurations like an excavator, a front shovel or a lattice boom. Regardless of the configuration, all boom function were cable-controlled. In total, 670 M90s were built from 1955 to 1970, an impressive number at that time. The Menck M90 was powered by a 80 hp diesel engine and weighed, depending on the actual configuration, at least 26 tonnes (57,300 lb). |
