Description | In 1958, Mercedes also changed the series of heavy trucks to so-called “Kurzhauber” (literally: “short bonnet [trucks]”) models. These trucks were built until the lates 70s for the European market and until 1995 on customer request for export (mainly to Africa and the Middle East). The Conrad model resembles an all-wheel drive LAK 2624 with a Meiller three-way tipper body. As it can be easily deducted from the type designation, this truck has a maximum gross vehicle weight of 26 metric tons (57,300 lb) and a 240 hp engine. |
