| Description | The Liebherr R 916 Advanced was a medium-sized tracked excavator with an operating weight of approximately 23–25 metric tons (51,000–56,000 lb). It is powered by a Liebher diesel engine with 115 kW (157 hp). Compared to the Classic version, the design of the R 916 Advanced is more similar to the later 9x6 generation of Liebherr excavators. In addition, the Avdanced version utilizes a somewhat higher hydraulic pressure (380 bar / 5500 psi) than the Classic version (365 bar / 5300 psi). |
