| Description | The Liebherr SR 714 LGP is a so-called welding tractor. This type of machine is used at pipeline construction sites to facilitate the welding together of the individual pipeline sections. To do this, welding tractors usually have an electric generator installed to supply the welding machines. In addition they often also have a small crane installed to hold a so-called welding in place over the welders' workplace. The Liebherr SR 714 LGP was developed in cooperation with Maats on the basis of a Liebherr PR714 bulldozer. It is powered by a Liebherr diesel engine with 90 kW (122 PS) and weighs about 20 metric tons (44,000 lb). The electric generator has a maximum power output of 125 kVA, the crane is a Hiab XS. |
